"Doula- one of my favorite words to hear in combination with birth/pregnancy! I adored having the support of Lauren. She was professional, kind, supportive, and such an amazing friend in my birth! We had an induction birth, and Lauren was there from start to finish! We did rebozo work, walking, all the things! Despite some setbacks on my end (my baby was nice and comfy in my belly), Lauren helped us remember our goals from our Birth Goals Sheet and we moved forward together with my CNM (certified nurse midwife). Lauren's use of encouraging words and solid phrases helped me stay positive and keep my end goals in sight! Even having a long induction process, I felt so safe and in the "right" place through the whole birthing process! She was present when my husband and I needed support, but she also made space for us to work through healthy emotions and to help connect with each other when the time came! During my pushing stage, Lauren was working between myself and my CNM and my husband. Having all three of them on my team was amazing! But having Lauren there to guide the communication, catch the words that I missed and do the action for me, or just give me and earful of support." - Casey
